It’s so hard to find a ride or die nowadays… but I am blessed to have a few.
People have become so afraid to stand up for themselves or for others who are being blatantly wronged that they hide behind, “I’m sorry” and turn away, or simply cower in the face of harassment and verbal abuse, protecting their own comfort while someone being bullied and harassed is left to stand alone…
They picked on the “wrong girl…”
A strong woman doesn’t need a crowd to stand with her to know she’s standing for what is right…
It is simply second nature.
She doesn’t cower in the face of intimidation, and she doesn’t surrender her voice because someone else believes they hold the power. She stands her ground and finally goes nose to nose with the abuser…
It may take a minute for her to re-balance and steady herself…but a strong woman always finds her footing and her constructive solution.
Courage means standing up for what’s right, whether you are the one being wronged, or the person witnessing someone else being wronged…
They picked on the “wrong girl…”
I may go down…but I never stay down.
Checkmate.
Love and blessings,
Wendy
