In every relationship, no matter the players, there must be acceptance and empathy, flexibility and compromise.
If these are missing from a connection and one party or the other would rather be a “right fighter,” versus a “way maker,” it is time to part company for the sake of one’s mental health and wellness.

One of my greatest lessons is my self worth is not defined by anyone else, most especially one who was dishonest and dishonorable throughout our relationship.
And I finally realized that his behaviors and chronic patterns of lying are all about him.
For a number of years after I left the relationship five years ago, I had been grieving the man that I wished he was, and not the man that he actually is.
At last.
We do not need a vote or validation from a partner who lived a double life.
I finally came to the realization after my deep inner work and self exploration that I was always enough, and he never was in his own mind.
I am now experiencing a deep spiritual connection that encompasses integrity, transparency, honesty and devotion.
At last.

We never need to settle for crumbs when God offers us a full course meal. We only need to know that we deserve it as we are offered loving and healthy relationships…FOOD FOR THE SOUL.
