About

Wendy Blanchard, M.S., INHC, NYCPS is a teacher, speaker, advocate, and author. In 2015, Wendy went to the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, and earned her certification in Holistic Health Counseling. She has a private practice, Harmonious Health 4 Life, where Wendy coaches those in mental health and substance use disorder recovery, and others who are eager to make lifestyle changes that are sustainable.
Wendy began her own recovery from Mental Health Disorders and Substance Use Disorder in early 2013, and has been thriving in her recovery through a holistic lifestyle where she uses natural and organic solutions to manage anxiety, and physical pain due to Lupus.
Ms. Blanchard has written a book,
WRITE PRAY RECOVER:A Journey to Wellness through Spiritual Solutions and Self Care.
This interactive book/journal is based on Wendy’s lived experience, as well as her field experience in the mental health/substance use disorder field, and her work in the field as an Integrative Nutrition Holistic Health Counselor. This book gives the reader an opportunity to self reflect, to write about it, and to use this book as a tool for self discovery and exploration, and healing.
Wendy’s book was published in January, 2022, and she has been doing book signings and speaking engagements on mental health, wellness and substance use disorder recovery supporting our global community with information and strategies to bring awareness and eliminate stigma on mental health disorders, as well as to normalize the symptoms, and to have an ongoing dialogue on mental health in order to encourage treatment seeking behavior in a safe and nurturing environment where we recognize that we all have mental health.
Wendy was the Keynote speaker recently at the Chris Ashman Wellness & Recovery Conference, and speaks at various recovery events across NY state, and globally including LIVE radio broadcasts, and podcasts!
Wendy lives in Orange County, NY, and has 3 loving adult children, Matthew, Nicole, and Olivia, a loving soul daughter, Sarah, and a beautiful 17 year old granddaughter, Rosie, her granddaughter, Harper Sydney, now four years old, and Asher, 3 months old.
Wendy’s children and granddaughter, Rosie, were the inspiration for her to ask for help to save her life in early 2013 when she was close to dying from lifelong Substance Use Disorder and co-occuring mental health disorders. It was her  children, and granddaughter Rosie that gave her the strength, determination, and resilience to get clean, and to do the work needed in making monumental, sustainable lifestyle changes.
Wendy continues to add to her wellness practices daily, and is sharing them as a teacher, advocate, and consultant and counselor in her community, and in her online coaching practice.
Wendy created and practices her wellness program, “An Integrative Approach to Wellness in Recovery” where she utilizes her self created components of her S.P.E.A.R. AND S.W.I.M. INTO WELLNESS recovery plan which is a non linear recovery program specific to your health and wellness goals.
She also teaches about self care and healthy practices which she believes is the key to thriving in recovery, and to living ones best life! Wendy has coined the phrase,
“Self care is the actions that we take to achieve wellness, and wellness is where we stand in our power!”
Love and blessings!
Wendy
